I have several insureds, mostly with businessowners policies, asking if they are covered for loss of business income when shut down by the state or a local municipality due to a pandemic like COVID-19. Most of these insureds are local retailers, contractors (i.e., landscapers, roofers, etc.), food equipment-service companies, and others. Would there be coverage for this under a businessowners policy?
