Christopher Weldon, Esq.

Christopher Weldon started his legal career in 1990 as a Westchester County, New York assistant district attorney. Then, he continued his career in litigation, handling professional malpractice lawsuits and other types of complex contract and corporate disputes.

In 1999, Christopher joined a multistate law firm and helped the firm establish an independent Connecticut office. At that firm, he primarily handled professional liability claims and lawsuits involving insurance agents and brokers. Since then, he has focused his practice on professional liability—defending a wide array of professionals, including insurance agents and brokers, attorneys, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, architects, and engineers. Through that experience, Christopher has gained significant expertise with insurance policies, and he has used that knowledge to successfully resolve many insurance coverage disputes for carriers.

In 2008, Christopher co-founded a law firm and focused his practice in New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Christopher often is retained by carriers to handle their claims throughout the United States and in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, Christopher headed up the Corporate and Business Practice of his prior law firm with focus in corporate start-up, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, drafting business agreements, employment disputes, noncompete litigation, and other general business litigation.

Christopher has authored articles and conducted lectures and seminars about E&O liability prevention for insurance agents and brokers, licensed financial providers, and mortgage brokers. He is a licensed continuing-education instructor by several states’ insurance departments.
