Joseph M Patterson

Joseph M. Patterson joined PIA in 2024 with nearly 20 years of industry experience. In his role as the industry resource center representative, he will be on the frontlines assisting PIA members on technical and coverage issues. He will serve as the primary staff member for PIA's company tracking, company mergers/acquisitions, insolvencies, guaranty funds, and life/health inquiries, as well as managing PIA's BusinessLink™ program.

Joseph earned his associate in applied science degree specializing in health services and insurance business administration from Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y.

Prior to joining PIA, he worked for Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, N.Y., The Phoenix Cos., East Greenbush, N.Y., and Capital District Physician's Health Plan, Albany, N.Y. Throughout these positions, his work was concentrated in the medical, life, and disability insurance areas.
